Presidential Candidate Campaign Artwork, 2016 and 2020
I’d been following Bernie Sanders since 2015 and like many others, I felt a deep connection to his message and his authenticity.
I wanted to produce some artwork that captured and celebrated the message of his campaign and his political philosophy. ‘Not Me, Us’ were the typically modest words uttered by Bernie at a rally in response to the crowd chanting his name. It seemed to embody the man and the movement and the artwork struck a chord with the supporters and the campaign at the time. In 2020, the campaign adopted #NotMeUs as the Bernie 2020 slogan and this artwork was licensed to the campaign. You would have found it on various merch in the official store but most prominently on Bernie’s official campaign tour bus.
